Is being a witness and helping the police to solve a crime wrong? I can see the criminals being upset with people who snitch, but it doesn't help society to allow the criminal and their way of thinking to gain footing in our society.
Witness's should be rewarded for the efforts to come forward, what reward would be sufficient. When the testimony agrees that the witness has properly documented and shown proof beyond all doubt that their testimony is credible and reliable the witness should be rewarded with the knowledge that justice is going to be done. If the witness suffered to give this testimony there should be compensation for the emotional or physical sufferings.
