  • 9-29-2009 I went to my local post office branch and asked about the missing certified letter. They suggested that I inquire with the branch where I mailed the letter from. So I traveled south to that branch having just enough time to get there before that office closed. I gave my receipt to the man at the counter and he had to go off to research my problem with a supervisor much like what happened in my local branch. This time the supervisor came over to the counter to explain that the letter went out of their office and down to an office and she showed me the number of the office I believe it was pretty clear that it was a Philadelphia branch office. She suggested that the letter might have been delivered and that branch did not follow through with the required signature which was a violation of what I was paying for. The letter appears to have been lost and my money was then refunded. She apologized and I filled out the form for the refund. Then she had to unlock the lobby to allow me out as it was closing time. While leaving I explained to her what I had gone through and she wished me luck in my endeavors.
